Components

If you are a demanding and discerning buyer and want to independently assemble a personal computer, then the first step is to understand the purpose of each of their types and technical parameters. To make it easier and faster, answer the question, what are you going to use your PC for, since this will determine its final cost.

Self-assembly will make you feel a bit like a wizard because you will decide which parts are ideal for your computer. For the option called “office”, high costs are not typical, since working in simple office programs, surfing the Internet, watching movies and photos, and listening to audio files does not require huge system resources and the highest performance. The computer components of a powerful gaming machine, as well as work with complex graphic editors and calculations, put forward a much higher level of requirements, such as a cool video card and a large amount of RAM.

The most important computer components of your electronic instrument for certain tasks include:

  • The processor is a small rectangular plate that is responsible for the speed of work.
  • Cooling system – devices for removing heat from heating components of the computer.
  • The motherboard is the largest part of a multi-chip system unit, which ensures the interaction of all parts of the PC.
  • Memory modules, or RAM – a place for the temporary storage of data about the processes executed by the system.
  • Hard drive, is the main storage of information.
  • A video card is a device that displays an image converted from a graphic image stored in memory on the monitor screen.
  • Optical drives, or floppy drives, allow you to read information from removable media.
  • A sound card, as the name suggests, is designed to process sound, record it or broadcast it using acoustic systems.
  • Case – a shell for the “stuffing” of the PC and its external protection. Often, many neglect this point and choose a case based on its low cost. Alas, in this case, it is fraught with consequences such as overheating, melting conductors, and other troubles.
  • Also a monitor. Its choice depends on whether you plan to work only with text documents, or do professional photo processing, whether you want to watch movies on the big screen, or settle for smaller dimensions in favor of compactness.
  • Webcam.

The cost is formed based on what technical parameters have spare parts for a computer, and, consequently, its power and information processing speed. If you plan to use it as your main working tool, it is better not to save money and purchase components for your PC from trusted manufacturers with a good reputation in the market.
